Fundamental Analysis

When it comes to Fundamental Analysis, there are dozens of different components that can be considered, such as P/E ratios, Debt ratios, Market Share, Past Earnings, Projected Earnings....the list goes on and on!

The main reason a public company exists is to GENERATE A PROFIT!

Generally, the greater a profit the company makes, the higher the share price tends to rise. The smaller a profit, or the greater a loss a company makes, the lower the share price tends to fall.

Therefore, the best method of determining which stocks have the greatest potential for future growth is to identify which stocks are the most profitable.

Fundamental Analysis is the strategy employed by professional investors and analysts around the world to identify the most profitable companies. Technical Analysis

Technical Analysis (T.A.) is the study of prices and volume. It uses charts and mathematics to analyse forces that impact between supply and demand for a share, derivative or futures contract. The technical analyst uses charts and mathematics for short-term trading. With such high volatility in today's markets, the probability of success lessens. Even with the insight to supply and demand that technical analysis gains, mere rumour or economic effects from half a world away can affect the price of a share.

When using technical analysis, life is given to your charts through the delivery of data. Through Spectrum Live, you can view the price of any share in the world. This data comprises of the opening price, the closing price, the highest value the share traded for the day, the lowest value the share traded for that day, and how many shares traded during the session (volume). From this information you can view the price in numerous formats such as High/Low Bars, Japanese Candlesticks, Point and Figure charting or a Line chart.

In one of the above formats the price starts to form patterns that then offer signals of possible future movements. You can apply such tools as trendlines, channels, and mathematics over the price to analyse the supply and demand for the share. Once this opinion has been formed, you can make a decision on whether to purchase, or to sell, the stock.
